Fara (F.S.) Harper

Served North End – 1946-1949

F.S. Harper was reared in Paducah, Kentucky. He worked
for the railroad, electric company, and sold life insurance, all
while preaching on Sundays. He began full-time church
work in 1935. He preached full-time in Sistersville, Charles
ton, and Fairmont, West Virginia. He served from 1946-1949
as North End’s first located preacher. They met at that time
in a house that was located on 32nd Street across from
where Madison Grade School is located. He was preaching
for the church in Maura City, Tennessee at the time of his
death in 1972. The elders that served North End at that time
were, Fred Morlan, A.M. Cooper, and Jesse Cooper.
