F.S. Harper was reared in Paducah, Kentucky. He worked
\nfor the railroad, electric company, and sold life insurance, all
\nwhile preaching on Sundays. He began full-time church
\nwork in 1935. He preached full-time in Sistersville, Charles
\nton, and Fairmont, West Virginia. He served from 1946-1949
\nas North End\u2019s first located preacher. They met at that time
\nin a house that was located on 32nd Street across from
\nwhere Madison Grade School is located. He was preaching
\nfor the church in Maura City, Tennessee at the time of his
\ndeath in 1972. The elders that served North End at that time
