Jerry was born in 1940 in St. Albans, West Virginia. His home congrega
\ntion encouraged him to preach. After getting his degrees at Lipscomb and
\nHarding, he began full-time preaching in Clarksburg, West Virginia. He
\nand his wife Sandra worked for North End from 1966-1967. Starting in
\n1970 he worked for the next 43 years at the Park Avenue congregation in
\nCharleston, West Virginia. He preached over 40 years every Sunday on
\nWCHS radio. He served as an elder in the later part of his ministry. Jerry
\nretired in 2012, and he and Sandra moved to Nashville to be closer to
\ntheir children. Most of the material presented in these short bio of our
\npreachers, comes from Sandra\u2019s 2023 publication West Virginia Ministers
