John was born in Marietta, Ohio in 1944 into a family of preachers. He was baptized at
\nage 12 and preached his first sermon at age 17. He received college degrees from
\nLipscomb and Marshall. He and his wife, Pattie, have five children. John\u2019s first work with
\na West Virginia congregation was at North End in 1968. He encouraged and led us in
\npersonal work evangelism. Our annual youth rallies were begun as well as his radio
\nprogram \u201cWalking With The Master\u201d. From 1977-1987 John ministered at the Norway
\nAve. congregation in Huntington, WV. He moderated the television program \u201cThe Bible
\nAnswers\u201d on channel 13. In the 1970\u2019s through the early 1990\u2019s, John held at least a
\ndozen meetings in Wood County. He also conducted soul winning workshops and door
\nknocking campaigns. He and his family moved to Nashville, Tennessee to minister.
\nSince 1991, John has been president of the Church of Christ Disaster Relief, which has
\nreceived national recognition. Since 1999 he has lead the Adventures with Jesus
